THE PROJECT

In a residence in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, this winder staircase makes a half-tour at the bottom of its flight before joining the floor. Its honey wood shade heats the entrance and beautifully contrasts with the clarity of the walls. The treads and risers of hardwood are mounted on closed stringers. The railing plays the two-colored card: the white balusters emphasize a post and a stained wood handrail, a classic that doesn’t grow old.
