Floating staircase to Central Stringer of steel and glass railing

In a contemporary residence in Chambly, this staircase is based on a single Central Stringer of black steel that passes through the room as a spinal column. The treads of hardwood locks on both sides of this central post and leave the emptiness under each step; a glass railing, paired with a handrail of wood, encapsulates the roof without ever masking it. The result is an open and spectacular staircase, which becomes the masterpiece of the living space. It has been manufactured and installed by our team.
