Floating staircase to risers open, steel and glass

In a Brossard residence open on the forest, this floating staircase descends and returns in front of large windows and captures the whole daylight. The treads of blank wood, with the risers open, appear to float between the stringers of black steel; a glass railing and a handrail of clear wood complement a decisively contemporary composition. By leaving the view and light flow, the staircase becomes a sculpture in the center of the house. It was manufactured and installed by our team.
