The site visit here comes down to the essentials: the real spacing between the posts and their section, since nothing else moves.
A railing drawn, built and installed by the same team.
We take the dimensions from the nose of the tread, regulated height included, and we note what can stay in place. Nothing is drawn before that visit.
You get a dimensioned drawing and a firm price: infill, handrail, fixings. Nothing is cut until you approve it.
Everything is made in Granby, in our own shop. Count six to eight weeks between the approved drawing and the install. We check the dimensions a second time once the parts are laid out.
Our own crew installs it, in one to three days. No subcontractor: the same people from start to finish.

Guards here are rarely worn out: the posts are plumb, the floor anchor holds, the height is the one on the permit. What dates them is the turned balusters the builder fitted as standard, and the see-through wall they raise between the entrance and the living room. That makes for a much shorter job than it looks: we take the balusters out one at a time, keep the posts and the handrail, and fit panels cut to the spacing measured at your place. In most cases it is a one-day job, with nothing done to the floor. The panels leave the Granby shop, for Brossard and for the whole South Shore.

Two dimensions tell us whether the posts stay
The spacing between two posts, how high the handrail sits today and what the infill is made of: from that, we can already tell whether the work stops at the infill or whether an upright has to be rebuilt.
Tell us as well which stretch is involved — the flight alone, or the flight and the landing return. The two call for neither the same number of panels nor the same schedule.

Milled at the workshop, in hardwood. Every staircase is built for its own opening: nothing is assembled in series or pulled from stock.

Installed by our own team, in one to three days. Adjustments are made on site, against the real opening rather than the drawing.

Redoing the infill achieves nothing if the structure carrying it has shifted: past a certain amount of play, it is the flight that gets rebuilt, and the schedule bears no resemblance.
